The blank canvas intrigues me. As I start a project, seen so clearly in my imagination, I wonder how it will appear “out there.”  There is a magic for me, a transformation of simple materials into ideas, emotions, a moment in time.  With a splash of color, dash of paint, capture the light just so, the object becomes a language that speaks to us, no translation needed.

There is a joyful pleasure, a tactile playfulness in working with the materials. Paints of any kind, pastels, pencils, paper, canvas.  Journal in hand, camera at my side, I love to travel, go on quiet walks, take my inspiration from what is given in the moment.  I know of no other life than the creative life, I have always been an artist.
