I am fervently driven by van Gogh’s passage, “Love what you love.”  I hope my work reflects this through the use of multi-media in compositions that are both spontaneous, deliberate and constantly evolving.  Familiar and unusual elements often merge to create new possibilities, allowing me to wander into imagined places in a way no other vehicle permits.

My work is motivated by a world viewed as forms and fragments. This concept focuses on the celebration of color and textural depth produced through various materials -- papers, paint or found objects.  Inspiration is drawn from a myriad of sources including written words and nature.  No matter what medium is incorporated into a finished work, the result creates a spark that takes on a life of its own and, in turn, ignites new ideas that usually lead to the next piece or series.

I believe firmly that an original piece of art, created by the artist’s hands, mind and heart, enhances one’s environment and provides personal joy, truly one of life’s most elevating experiences and is unique and enriching for both giver and receiver.
