Artist Statement
|
I have been sculpting, throwing, and casting works of clay for twelve years. My
training has been accomplished through classes at Foothill College and Ohlone College in the San Francisco Bay area and through workshops in sculpting, glazing, slips and wood firing at Santa Rosa Junior College, Sierra Nevada college, and the Walnut Creek Civic Arts Education Program under such capable artists as Paul Soldner, Don Ellis and Don Reitz respectively.
I have been showing and selling my art regulary at shows and galleries in Freemont, Elk Grove, Sacramento, and Locke. In addition my art has been displayed at several business establishments in Elk Grove. I am a member of the Elk Grove Artists and of the Freemont Art Association I have orginized two spring art shows in Elk Grove under the auspices of Elk Grove Artists where as many as forty participated. |
